Another one bites the dust

Well, I went through another roommate.  A woman named Francis (who I kept calling Phyllis--hmm I wonder if that had anything to do it) was my roommate for 1 day.  She moved to a different room that had a window bed available.  Nothing to do with me, she assured me.  But it does make me wonder......Oh well.

I still can't get photos to my computer.  It is so frustrating, especially since this has happened before.  One of the guys from the rec room/lounge who considers himself a computer guru tried, and failed.  He said I need something special that he will pick up when he goes to West Yellowstone, a town about 45 miles from here.  He doesn't have a day off for a few days, so don't expect any photos soon.  Sometimes I think these wonderful devices just don't like my aura.  How's that for a shot in the dark???

I did have a funny guy at the Geyser Grill today.  He asked me if the coffee refills are free.  When I said sure, he then asked for 2 refills.  Shades of my dad.  It did make me laugh.

I also had a touching experience.  A young guy in his 20's or so is at my register.  I noticed his bracelet and it looked like a POW bracelet that many of us wore during the VietNam War.  He said it was.  It was his Grandfather's name on the bracelet, who unfortunately didn't survive.  He was surprised that I knew what it was and was pleased that I, too, had worn one.  FYI-my guy made it out.

There is a full moon hike on Friday night.  I still haven't signed up, but plan to tomorrow (Wednesday) As I understand it, we take a bus to somewhere and hike around in the full moon.  Many of my SHARE friends will we watching the same full moon while at the festival.  My heart will be with you all.

  1. We might not share share but we will share the full moon.

  2. If you are taking pictures with your phone try emailing the pictures to yourself otherwise, be aware that I have uploaded dozens of pictures that seem to disappear after a period of time. Your frustration has been shared.

On another topic . . . reading of your adventures reminds me of my own while riding alone and later, with Chuck.

Thirdly . . . another reminder occurs when I am told that someone's grandfather was in Vietnam.
