Pay attention

Although I really like working at the Geyser Grill, being in the lobby is sometimes annoying.  so here is my advice, if you are in a restaurant that has a clear your own table rule, DO IT.  If you are sitting in a section that gets closed, MOVE TO AN OPEN SECTION.  Can you guess that some people have done that to me today?  As the schedule goes, we close at 5 PM, but still have to clean up.  we can close 2 of the 3 sections as soon as the last geyser goes off closest to 5 PM and clean up those sections, but not if someone is still sitting there.  The real problem is that dinner at the EDR, employee dining room, finishes at 6:30. So it's a rush to get finished and get to dinner.

Other than that, life is good.  I'm off Friday and Saturday and am planning my hike.  The visitors center has a list of when some of the geysers go off and I'm told I'll be able to plan my hike based on that schedule.  I was planning to take whatever bus tour was happening, but then found out that there are no tours until mid-May.

I bought a book about Yellowstone, a field guide covering all the stuff like flowers, bugs, animals, geology, etc.  Interesting reading.  Looking forward to using it.

  2. I spend hours and hours where ever I go reading up on the history and places of interest..to me that is at least half the fun of travelling..it is a form of immersion.. to travel one becomes a student of everything...enjoy
