My Friday
Today, Tuesday, is my Friday. I have off work for the next 2 days. Whoopie! I don't have anything specific planned, but I'll check out the schedule and see what is happening. I want to check out the Art Gallery and Photography Center. Since I don't know too much about it, I can't say what I'll find there. Keep tuned in to find out.
To give you an idea of my new roomie, Rose's sense of humor--I walked into our room and she was struggling to get the buttons on the cuff of her work uniform shirt unbuttoned. After some annoyance, she declared laughing that since she'll never get the blouse off, she just may as well go back to work. Again, maybe you'd have to be there to really appreciate it.
The other day, I walked into the lounge here in Obsidian and I had my Hickory Fest teeshirt on. One of the guys, Al or Allen, asked be about it. Seems that he was part of the security for some of the early Canyon Country Music Festivals. He and I were actually at some of the same festivals. What a small world.
Work is going well. We have a new assistant manager named Andrew. He is in his 30's, and this is actually his first assistant manager position so he's worried about doing the job correctly. He is at least 6'6" tall and is constantly walking into one of the hoods over the main grill. Good thing his hair is thick enough to pad his scalp from injury. He has one of the trendy hair styles that is sort of a man bun, but higher on his head. It may sound weird, but it looks very good on him.
Here's some pictures from our train trip out here, mostly when we were crossing the Rockies out of Denver. Hope you enjoy them. I don't really know what or where, just that they were taken from the train window. Not many captions.

Great pics. Really does look like what I remember going over the Rockies in the train. You always see the United States through the back door from the Train.
