From the Library

Since I'm here in the library, I may as well add some thoughts to today's pictures. 

Work screwed up my schedule and gave me off Thursday and Friday.  This does not align with Rose's schedule which her workplace also screwed up, giving her Saturday and Sunday.  How annoying.  We are planning to go to the Cowboy Roundup, or whatever it is actually called, but now this puts a kink in the plan.  I'm sure we'll figure it out.

I went to another art lesson at the Art and Photography Center.  It really is fun, and the instructor is good at giving encouragement.  I did my version of the Old Faithful Inn, adding a few trees and flowers.  Creative license, she says.  One of these days I'll photograph them for you to see.

Besides the library, with their secure wifi, as opposed to McDonalds unsecure, I plan to stop at the Chinese restaurant here in town.  I haven't had any since I left PA.  I hope I don't lose leftovers like I lost the hoagie.  I will be more careful, for sure.

There is a Ranger talk on Charismatic Plants of Yellowstone tonight if I make it back in time.  It should be interesting, as they usually are.  I missed one of Wolves because of work.  Damn work, getting in the way of my social life.  More tomorrow.

    too bad you missed the wolves discussion,,,I saw an interesting video on how the reintroduction of the wolves has had a positive impact on many aspects of the ecology of the park.

Still more art

gorgeous sunset taken by Flora who especially liked the juxtaposition of the Amish hay mounds and the electric wires.    This blog starts off with a picture just to get your attention. Flora was quick on the camera button, once again. I'm having issues thinking of different names for the blog title. I seem to be in a rut. but then again, perhaps I am. The art classes are great.  As much as I enjoyed watercolor at Yellowstone. it was only a tiny taste of how satisfying it is.  Joan and I are both surprised and quite pleased with the results we have. We both feel like we discovered something important to us, to our souls, or our spirits.  Anyway, all the pictures are mine, but you get to meet Joan and Jane and a glimpse of Susan. Bozeman

Clara and I met up with Julie, friend from Bozeman who took us on a tour of the town, lunch at a neat restaurant, the Naked Noodle, and then the Museum.  MOR--Museum of the Rockies, they have a spectacular dinosaur collection and lots more.  a nice laid back day with Clara and Julie.  Two more days before I head to Yellowstone.  I vacillate between anxiety and anticipation.  Sometimes at the same time.

Saturday Night Radio

I know listening to the radio Saturday night doesn't sound like a barrel of monkeys, but it truly is a relaxing way to spend the evening. Especially since I was radio deprived in Yellowstone aka YNP.  Way back in the day, 1990's I started listening to Saturday night PBS radio shows while Than did the race track announcer at Greenwood Action Track.  The newest show, Live from here  isn't as good as  Prairie Home Companion,  but I may just be reluctant to change.  The music is really good. The comedy is amusing, sometimes roaring funny. I dropped my phone in the toilet bowl the other day.  I didn't even realize that I had lost it.  Than comes out of the bathroom asking why my phone is in the toilet. I have lost almost all the the phone numbers I had. How annoying.  I did get a new phone, so another phone to learn. Will it ever end.
