West Yellowstone-not really

Right now, I'm sitting in McDonalds in West Yellowstone. West Yellowstone is in Montana and about an hour drive from where I live in Yellowstone.  Rose and I planned a few shorter hikes and thoughts of coming here for lunch and wifi. We did a great stop at Grand Prismatic Spring (I think). we could have stuck to the boardwalks, but instead took the hike up to the overlook, about 1 mile or so.  The view was spectacular. The photos won't do it justice, I'm sure. We did get to eat in a really nice restaurant, again, on real plates, actual coffee cups and people brought whatever we wanted to the table. Of course we had to pay for this luxury.

On the way back we will stop and hike to Harlequin Lake, most likely.  Sometimes all good intentions go up in smoke. We stopped at a neat little Native American store where I bought some Christmas presents.  Rose also bought a cute shirt for her son who has 2 daughters. It reads, "Yes, I have a beautiful daughter, and I also have a gun, a shovel and an alibi."

Since yesterday's blog was so long, i'll cut this one short. I would like to attach photos, but for some reason, Wifi won't let me.  Sorry about that. I have just figured out that it won't let me publish from here either. Who knows why. I'll try again at Yellowstone Molasses site.
