August already

Wow, here it is August.  I went on a hike today that I originally did in May and am impressed on the difference in vegetation.  I didn't have to wear gloves, hat and mittens for one thing.  And there was no snow on the ground.  I really doubted that it would actually turn to spring, much less summer on that first hike.

I actually didn't do the exact hike, but added a twist that took me to Solitary Geyser. I have some nice pictures, but you won't see them until tomorrow.  Rose and I are going to Big Sky, Idaho (actually Montana) for a doctor's appointment for her.  Nothing serious, just a change in medication for her asthma, according to her.  What also will happen is a stop at the library to use their wifi so i'll be able to add some pictures to tomorrow's blog.

We are also thinking about going to Bozeman for the Sweet Pea Festival.  That is still up in the air but it is a possibility.  Bozeman is about a 2 hour drive.  After Friday's drive, again about 2 hours, we may not be in the mood to drive that far.  There is still alot of thing around Yellowstone that we haven't seen, and a few hikes we want to go on.

We are in the midst of a lightening and thunder storm right now.  Rose doesn't get to see much lightening, being from California, so she's hoping it's a good storm.  I'm hoping for a rainbow.  I haven't seen any here yet.  More later.

  1. I miss you today more than usual. There was a wonderful tribute to Steve at the brasserie Louis. I missed it but it was wonderful
