What a fun day today!! Four friends and myself, and 10 other people on the mini-bus, went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. What a sweet little touristy town. We were only there 3 hours but it was long enough to see a little bit and eat a nice lunch and get myself a hoagie, a real italian hoagie. I was so happy to see trees with leaves, and flowering trees, lilacs and tons of hanging baskets. The trip was sponsored by the Rec Center here as a way of keeping employees happy.
The road to Jackson goes past Yellowstone Lake and through Grand Teton National Park. What an impressive mountain range. I'm sorry that Than and I didn't go there when we were in Yellowstone a few years ago.
On the way back to Yellowstone, there was a grizzly bear along the road. Our driver stopped and we had a nice photo opportunity. The bear was about 25 feet away, on a slope eating flowers. It was just so cool. All the while we were in Jackson, James kept pointing out bear sculptures, carvings, pictures saying he wanted to see a real bear. As you can imagine, he was beside himself when we actually saw it. For some reason, the bear pictures haven't crossed to the computer yet, so there are no bear pictures until later. Enjoy the ones I do post.
