Stormy Thursday

Another day off where I didn't do much.  The nice weather was on and off all day.  It was rather windy, sometimes cloudy and now in the evening it is really storming.  Folks who have been here awhile say that the caldera has a unique effect on the storms.  There is some hail mixed in with the rain so everyone says a cold front is moving in, too. And not to be surprised if we wake up to snow tomorrow. It better not.  I'm rejoicing in the nice weather, finally.

Rose and I did make it to the Art and Photography Center.  It has a nice little gallery of various artist depicting scenes from all around Yellowstone.  There are art lessons of various types, water color this month.  I don't know if it changes monthly or when, but there is something always happening as far as art and photography.  I'm planning to take advantage of it soon.  Details to follow.

I also learned there is a difference between bison and buffalo.  We do not have buffalo here, only bison.  Buffalo are from Asia and Africa, not North America.  So there it is.

Than tells me that they are finally ripping up our yard. I am so glad I'm not there.  Just the thought of it was making me crazy, but it had to be done, so I'm told.

Work is fine.  One of the guys told me an Asian woman wanted cheese on her French Vanilla Cappuccino.  We're guessing she had some of her English mixed up.  Maybe whipped cream? or Milk?
Funny how language can be so easily confused.

No pictures today.  Sorry.

  1. Your words paint a beautiful picture of Yellowstone. Sorry about the weather here it's going to be absolutely beautiful today. But maybe I shouldn't tell you that.
