Bison around the bend

In Winfield, I can sit in my sunroom and watch the chipmunks and squirrles hanging out.  The other morning, I was walking to the EDR-employee dining room, and what I was watching was a big old bison in the road eating flowers around the fire hydrant.  Not something I expect to see in Winfield.  There is some debate about if his name is Boris or George.  He does roam through the area a lot, hangs out near the river that runs nearby.  One day, he decided to take a nap in front of one of the cabins that tourist rent, and he was sleeping too close to the door for them to leave the place comfortably.  Eventually, he did more on, but left evidence of his being there.  Ah, living in Yellowstone has some weird happenings.

I went out the other night to watch Old Faithful erupt under an almost full moon.  I woke up because the moon was shinning in  my window and I though, "What the heck.  When will I get to see this again?"  So off I trudge, the full 5 minute walk, and sit and wait to see if my timing is anywhere near accurate.  It was a beautiful night, very clear, fairly warmish and I was rewarded.  It is not as dramatic as daytime, but is nevertheless very nice, erie even.

I will be home in less than a month.  In some ways, this time has flown by in a real hurry.  There are still things I wanted to do, and some things I won't get around to doing.  I have made some good friends that I hope I wil l continue being friends with. One of these blogs I will give a good descriptions of everyone important including pictures.

I am able to actually write my blog in the rec room again.  I can't attach photos, but being able to socalize as I write is really nice.  Tonight about 10 people are in here, some on their computers, some sitting around kibitzing, a nice social place to hang out.

Work is going fine.  I have been closing quite a few times in the past  2 weeks.  Not my favorite thing to do, but I guess I have to take my turn.  Work is interfering with my social life, for sure.  But that is the price for living in Yellowstone.  More later.
